The Violence, Abuse and Mental Health Network will be hosting three calls for applications for small grants to support research in specific areas, to address identified gaps in knowledge, and to improve the knowledge-base in areas of new challenge or changing policy and practice. Grants are available up to a maximum of £25,000 and can be used to deliver a targeted piece of research or to pump-prime larger projects. Each of the three calls (one per year) will be themed: measurement, understanding and intervention.

To offer additional guidance on the involvement of people with lived experience of violence, abuse and/or mental health issues within applications, please refer to the below document detailing the rating criteria:
Lived Experience-Based Rating Criteria.docx | |
File Size: | 15 kb |
File Type: | docx |
Please note: In these criteria we recommend having at least one co-applicant with lived experience. We appreciate that co-applicants may not be comfortable disclosing that they have lived experience of violence, abuse, or mental health problems and that we would therefore accept a statement in the application form to indicate that one (or more) of the applicants have relevant lived experience but they do not have to specify which applicants have/do not have this experience.
