LEAG Recruitment

What is the Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG)?
The LEAG is a group of individuals who have all experience some form of violence or abuse and mental health difficulties. Together they bring with them a wealth of experience in consultancy, training, and research. The LEAG help inform the wider VAMHN, ensuring that grants included the voices of those with lived experience, offering commentaries to journal articles, and they are also planning to produce a series of blogs and podcasts on the themes of violence, abuse and mental health.

Join our LEAG
We are currently looking for people with personal lived experience of violence, abuse and mental distress to join our network’s Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG), which currently has five members, and is led by our Lived Experience Coordinator - Lisa Ward. You can find out more about Lisa and the current members of the LEAG on our website here.

About the role
Joining the Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG) would mean taking part in online meetings (and sometimes in-person meetings in London), attended by other people with lived experience, and providing input into network activities from your point of view. There will be approximately 3-6 meetings per year. We will not be asking you to disclose details of your lived experience. However if you wish to share, you are welcome to.

Participants will be offered compensation for their time at £25 per hour plus all other expenses. We occasionally hold face-to-face meetings for which we would reimburse travel expenses and provide accommodation if required.
