Overview
Funded by the ESRC to meet the data needs of researchers, teachers and students from all sectors. Data collections housed by the UK Data Service include major UK Government-sponsored surveys, cross-national surveys, longitudinal studies, UK Census, international and European surveys, international aggregate, business data.
Both quantitative and qualitative data sets are held.
The UK Data Service provides: access to data (for academic, public sector, third sector, commercial and personal); training; support for policy-relevant research; development of best practice data sharing and data preservation standards; and facilitates data sharing with international partners.
