About Alina:
A/Prof Alina Morawska is the Deputy Director (Research) at the Parenting and Family Support Centre, The University of Queensland. Her research focuses on behavioural family intervention as a means for promoting positive family relationships, and the prevention and early intervention for young children at risk of developing behavioural and emotional problems. In particular, her focus is on improving the health and overall wellbeing of children and families. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Queensland in 2004, for which she received the Australian Psychological Society's Excellent PhD Thesis in Psychology Award. She has published extensively in the field of parenting and family intervention and has received numerous grants to support her research. She has been recognised as Australia’s top scholar in family studies. She is a Director of the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy Ltd.

Naima is a Lived Experience Researcher and campaigner for women’s trauma DV, SV, Homelessness and Mental Health. She advocates for trauma informed approaches and mindfulness. She works for AVA and Manchester Met University as a researcher and as a lived experience advisory group
member for VAMHM, AGENDA and St George’s Hospital Trauma research. She was previously a Regional Researcher for the McPin Foundation - Women Side by Side MIND project and researcher for the Hand In Hand project with AVA. She has spoken on Radio 4 Women’s Hour, written a number of articles about my research work and have spoken a number of times at the House of Lords to MPs and Health care professionals. She is also the main project lead for MWCP Maddalena Women’s Crafting Project; set up to combat mental health stigma, loneliness and Isolation, in Birmingham. Naima is an experienced crafter and also a qualified gardener.

About Roxanne:
Roxanne is an NHS higher trainee in general adult psychiatry, currently completing my PhD at the KCL Section of Women’s Mental Health. Her PhD is a randomised feasibility study of brief problem solving therapy for pregnant women experiencing intimate partner violence in rural Ethiopia. She leads the international violence, abuse and mental health network sub-group (iVAMHN). She sees NHS patients as an independent psychiatrist and works on the Lambeth psychiatrist on-call rota for South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
