Postnatal cohort of women admitted to acute care for acute severe postnatal mental disorders. 278 women admitted in the first year postpartum to Mother and Baby Units, generic wards or intensive crisis care.

278 women described as above. Domestic abuse measured by the composite abuse scale and clinical psychiatric diagnosis as recorded by clinicians from case notes.
