Upcoming Webinar
May Webinar
We’re taking a break in April, but our monthly webinar series returns in May with a talk delivered by Dr Kennath Widanaralalage (King’s College London), who will present findings from his research on male survivors of rape and sexual abuse. Ken is the lecturer in BSc Psychology at King’s, and his work explores the types of abuse men experience, the psychological impacts, and the intersecting barriers survivors face in seeking support. This talk will examine how cultural narratives, racialised stigma, and male rape myths influence survivors’ decisions and their recovery. It will specifically highlight the experiences of Black and Asian male survivors and the role of mental health services and the criminal justice system in either supporting or failing them.
