Speaker information

Dr Annie Herbert is a Sir Henry Wellcome Research Fellow at the University of Bristol Medical School. She is a statistical epidemiologist whose research uses large cohorts, such as Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC) and the Northern Finland Birth Cohort 1986, and linked administrative datasets, such as healthcare, education, and employment records, to understand how challenging experiences in childhood and adolescence -such as witnessing or experiencing abuse - shape young people’s health and relationships as they transition into adulthood. Annie is keen to combine advanced statistical methods with meaningful engagement with those with lived experience.
