Overview
The TAPCARE (Trauma-informed Approaches in Primary Care and Community Mental Health Care) policy review is a qualitative study aiming to explore the current UK landscape of trauma-informed system level interventions from the perspectives of healthcare professionals and policymakers.
The study comprised of document analysis of policies and contextual documents and semi-structured interviews with professionals with direct experience of developing or implementing trauma-informed approaches in UK health systems.
The research data includes table with socio-demographic characteristics of interview participants, anonymised interview transcripts, analysed documents and data extraction form.

Sample DescriptionInterview participants: 4 men, 7 women; working in public, private, third sector; professional role from frontline to leadership positions; experience of developing and/or implementing trauma-informed approaches in healthcare from 2 to 25 years. Most participants developed and implemented trauma-informed approaches in England, at the level of organisations and local authorities.
