Arts Funding Competition

Our online application portal is currently down due to software issues. To submit your application please could you download the Application form below and the budget spreadsheet and send to vamhn@kcl.ac.uk who will accept your application by email.

The VAMHN is delighted to launch our Arts funding competition as part of our fourth year programme of activities. VAMHN’s focus for this fourth year of grant competition funding will be on collaborations that engage the wider public around violence, abuse and mental health. We are looking for innovative artistic projects with the potential for high-quality and original outputs, which generate new critical perspectives and inspire further discussion around violence, abuse, and mental health. We are especially hoping to see lived experience views included and valued.

We are delighted to be partnering with Riverside Studios for this funding call. Riverside Studios are experienced in running a programme of international theatre, dance, visual art, television, comedy and music. They are also offering to provide a space to host applicant's projects if that is of interest. To enquire more about this please contact Olivia Neilson at Olivia.Neilson@riversidestudios.co.uk.

Applications will be accepted from 10am on the 23rd of November 2021. The deadline for applications is the 4th March 2022 at 5pm. Awards of up to £15k are available.

How to apply:
Our online application portal is currently down due to software issues. To submit your application please could you download the Application form in the application pack above and the budget spreadsheet and send to vamhn@kcl.ac.uk who will accept your application by email.

How to find collaborators for your project:
We recognise that people with lived experience, artists, and researchers are not always well linked. To help with this all parties will be able to advertise ideas for research or requests/offers of involvement using our LERA (Lived Experience, Researcher and Artist) forum, which can be accessed here.

Additionally, you can access our directory of networks and experts to identify individuals who you may want to get in touch with. To receive the password to access these webpages please sign up to the mailing list here.

Our expectations around Lived Experience involvement:
On the 21st January, The Network’s Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG) hosted a webinar outlining their experiences of involvement in research and their views on good practice. We've have uploaded the audio recording of this webinar which you can access here.
